Stefan Zweig's 'Chess story' was his final book prior to his tragic death in his exile in Brazil in 1942. The story about the incumbent Chess World Champion Mirko Czentovic and Dr. B., an Austrian emigrant was translated into many languages and millions of copies were sold. It is considered as one of the best literary fiction about the chess game.
