This is book is the answer of Agatha Christie to her readers who asked her: "What has happened to Tommy and Tuppence? What are they doing now?" Tommy and Tuppence who appeared first as a young couple in Christie's 'The Secret Adversary' (1922) and later in 'Partners in Crime' (1929) and 'N or M' (1941) are now elderly in this work and they visit Tommy's aunt Adda in a retirement home. Here Tuppence coincidentally meet Mrs. Lancaster who asked her the following mysterious question: "Was it your poor child? There behind the fireplace." And the adventure of solving a crime begins... The title of the book comes from Act 4, Scene 1 of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, when the second witch says: "By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes."

Book is very good except some miniscule spots on the top edge of the text block, minor shelf wear and a small bookssller's sticker on the bottom of the endpaper. Slight water stains on the flying leaf and the next leaf.

Dustwrapper is near fine except some miniscule creasing at the top and bottom edges of spine. Price clipped. Now well preserved in an unvisible plastic cover.
